Sephora Haul!

Hello, my name is Olivia and I... oh wait, you guys know me already.... Long time no blog post! I know, I was slacking, but I have actually been trying to post this for the last couple of days and the stupid computer just won't work! Oh how I loathe technology at times. But that is clearly not what this blog post is about. If you used your brain and read the title, you might have noticed that this is a sephora haul. And if you didn't, you disgust me. Sooo, I went to sephora on thursday, went to a bare minerals boutique the day after, and then yesterday I went to sephora yet again. I know that I must you must think that I must have no life if I buy makeup three days in a row, but I don't care, I would gladly buy some more again today. So, if you are still actually interested in reading this, READ ON! These are the items I purchased at sephora this thursday, the rest of my stuff will be in a different post.
See the makeup, want the makeup, buy the makeup. - words I live by

First and foremost, I got meself a fresh sugar lipgloss in the shade "Sugar Glory". This is a beautimous (yes, beautimous is a word, look it up) natural looking coral color. For some reason it wants to be something it's not and try to look like a bright corally pink, which it is clearly not. Why do I like this color you ask? Well, I like this color because it's purty and the lip gloss itself is not very long lasting so it gives me the perfect excuse to pull this out every five minutes and smell its yummy fruity scent.

The next thing I got is a nars blush in "albatross". Now before you start jumping to conclusions and make fun of me for buying a white blush, think again. You use this as a highlighter, which means you sweep it on your cheekbones to give you that ethereal glow that everybody wants nowadays.the color is not just a plain white like it's showing up the in picture, it's actually a white gold, and is way mac's soft & gentle msf, which was in my may favorites.

This swatch of albatross really shows it in it's full glory,so go buy it now!

The last two things I got were two of tarte's amazonian clay 12 hour blushes in exposed (left), and amused (right). I already have one of these in the shade tipsy and I plan on collecting them all, because I am a makeup hoarder. But, I have good reasoning for loving these blushes, because they are AMAZING!! The colors are smooth and pigmented, the last all day (they don't look quite as nice as they did earlier on, but they stay on way longer than the typical powder blush), and all od the colors are gorgeous. Exposed is not ugly like some of you sick people out there think. It actually is the perfect blush if you want your cheeks to be nice and neutral. I would describe it as a rosy tan color, and I love it. Amused is a gorgeous matte bright pink. This blush is an instant pick-me-up to any tired face (just what i'll need tomorrow considering my mother insisted that I write this at 1:00 in the morning).

Here are the final swatches! This picture is clearly not doing these blushes any justice, because these don't look nearly as exciting as they should. I hope you consider picking these up.
Hopefully the makeup hoarder in me will be able to live one day without buying makeup. *shudders* I think I will be able to hold out for a little bit, and yes, I said a LITTLE BIT, emphasis on the word LITTLE. Come to think of it, little is a cute and funny word, I but I am going to let you good people go live your lives before I talk your heads off. I hope you all doing well and have a wonderful day. Bieyy!!

Current Skin Care Routine 6-9-11

Even though I obviously love my beauty products, skincare comes first. You can't put makeup on if your face is too greasy or crusty- it just won't look right! I have a perfect example of a crusty face for you... my very own brother. Granted, he doesn't take time in the morning to look nice, or at least that's what he brainwashes people into believing. He has one of the most crusty faces I have ever seen!!! Ok, maybe not the most, but pretty close. I'm convinced that it's due to the simple fact that he doesn't apply enough sunscreen when he goes tanning in his bikini- the horrors! But really, if he doesn't start applying more sunscreen pretty soon, he'll be looking like the real housewives of OC in no time! *cringes to myself* Now moving on... I don't really have many problems with my face. It can be sensitive to certain skin care products at times, like the the jergens facial self-tanner that I recently quit using because it was sent straight from the devil! But for the most part, I have normal to dry skin, and it's really quite easy to take care of. So these are the products I use to take care of it....

Yep, those are the only two skin care products I use if you can make that out with the horrible lighting. I know it's not much, but my skin just doesn't need 10 skin care products used on it every single day. If I did that, my skin would be terribly messed up. I use the Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser to wash my face and  I really like it, but I really want to try something new out. This is simply because of the fact that I get bored with certain things and have to buy something new to stare at until the newness wears off and then I want something new again. If you looked inside my makeup drawers, you would understand. I really do like it though, it doesn't dry out my face and keeps it feeling really smooth. For my moisturizer, I use the Clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion. This is the moisturizer for very dry to dry combination skin and it is verrry very nice. It doesn't feel disgustingly heavy on your face and make your makeup come off in 2 minutes tops (I'm talking to you, cetaphil moisturizer). It makes my face nice and fluffy to say the least. Actually... I have no idea where fluffy skin ever fit into skin care... but who cares, that's my opinion, and I would sure as heck rather have fluffy skin then crusty skin. Anyways, that concludes my little rant about things that probobly noone in this world cares about. I'm not saying these products will work for you, but they are both very gentle on my skin and make it feel like a baby's bottom. I hope you all are doing well, and have and wonderful day.
By the way... I way sunscreen every single day, I just haven't decided which one I really like yet.

Unsung Hero: Benefit Silky finish eyeshadow in Rich Beach

You know those kids in your class who sit in the corner shivering when it's 100 degrees outside because they're so antisocial? The kids who are really smart but have no friends? These are the kids that end up rolling in dough when they grow up because they invent the next great flavor of Baskin Robbins ice cream. This kid sounds a little bit like me... HA! In the words of Mac Davis; "It's hard to be humble". My point is... there are some products in this world who have yet to feel the love of others, despite their amazingness. An example of that type of product is Benefit's silky finish eyeshadow in Rich Beach. This eyeshadow definitely lives up to its claims, and I think it deserves a little love.
In this picture, you see the adorable packaging of the eyeshadow. Fascinating Olivia.... Please take note that the eyeshadow appears to be hiding in my floral pillow, hence the shivering kid in the corner joke.

This is a picture of the eyeshadow open. Wow, really?! Never would've guessed.... The lighting is making the eyeshadow pull a bit too coppery, but it's really a golden taupy shimmery pan of happiness. It somehow reminds me of cinnamon toast crunch. I might add that I have never in my life had cinnamon toast crunch, so please don't ask me why I think that.

This is a swatch of the lovely beach of richness. This is as true to color as it gets.

And here it is on my wonderful eyeball. I wore it in the crease with urban decay loaded in the outer corner and maui wowie on the lid. I hope you all are doing well and have a wonderful day. Oh, and if you're reading this mom, can we pweeeeaaaaase go to sephora this weekend. Ok I'm done, buh bye.

My Late May Favorites!

Now I know that a full week of june has come and gone, but I only started my blog two days ago, so I felt the need to make a post on my may favorites. I feel like these have been consistently used by me and are standout products in my opinion. Enjoy!
The first item in the photo is Benefit's creaseless cream shadow/liner in r.s.v.p. This is such a gorgeous champagne color, and I have without a doubt used it almost every single day this month. It's creamy, very opaque, and just makes your face look a little brighter. The second item in the photo is my MAC blacktrack fluidline. I really do love this stuff, it brightens my eyes up and just makes them look very well defined overall. My only complaint is that it tends to make my eyes itch a bit due to my contacts. I would really like to try out the Bobbi Brown gel liner, but for now, I am really loving this.

These are the face items I found myself gravitating twards during the month of may. On the left we have Nars laguna bronzer, which I have made a pretty decent dent in this month. I love sweeping it in the hollows of my cheeks, my temples, jawline, nose, and chest. For my skintone, this really creates the perfect golden glow. The item on the right is the infamous Nars orgasm blush. It's the perfect peachy pink with gold shimmer running through it. I think this looks especially nice with a little color in my skin, and it seems to go with any look I choose to do. The last item on top is my MAC msf in soft & gentle. This creates a beautiful glow without making you look like a little grease ball.

My lips this month have essentially only come in contact with two products. Those are creme cup lipstick by MAC and a Revlon colorburst lip gloss in orchid. Both of these give me a really natural look, almost mlbb, which I have been really into this month. I picked up the naked palette from urban decay this month and am in love with it. I have created so many different looks with this, and I truly believe it might possibly be a HG product.

Here are the swatches for all of the products. Top row- mac blacktrack fluidline, benefit r.s.v.p.,nars laguna bronzer, and mac soft & gentle. Second row- nars orgasm, mac creme cup, revlon orchid. Last two rows- urban decay naked palette- colors: virgin, sin, naked, sidecar, buck, half baked, smog, darkhorse, toasted, creep, and gunmetal.

I hope you all are doing well and have a wonderful day.

Beauty Haul! 6-7-11

Hello everyone! I recently picked up a few beauty items from the drugstore that I wanted to share with you guys! It's by no means a huge haul, but I think I picked up some really exciting things that I think you will all enjoy as well. I apologize for the lighting, I took these pictures at 12 in the morning, so forgive me! Enjoy!
First off, I picked up two Revlon lipsticks in Smoked Peach and Siren. Smoked Peached is a gorgeous matte peach color that looks really natural and gorgeous on. Siren is an orange color if there ever was one. And I have to say, I like this one too. It pulls out the rosiness in my lips making it a little more wearable. Expect a review on all of these items soon.

The next thing I picked up was this Rimmel blush in Mauve Cool. To me, it looks like a possible dupe for Nars madly blush, just a little more pink. I have a feeling I'm going to love this one.

I also ended up picking up some essie nailpolishes in Absolutely Shore, which is from the summer collection, and Nice is Nice. Both of these colors are absolutely stunning and I am very excited to try them out! I will do a review as soon as I can!

The next thing I got I am SO excited to use! Macbarbie07 has raved about this in a few of her videos and I was very interested in getting my makeup-swatched paws all over it. Just in case you're wondering, this is the Revlon cream blush in rosy glow. Again, I have not yet used this, so I will review it in the near future.

I'm sorry that I couldn't get any swatches up, but the lighting was just too horrendous! Leave you comments and questions below. I hope you all are doing well and have a wonderful day!

We Love You Kasey

I don't know if any of you watch Kasey's (sparkliebarbiexo's) videos but if you don't, please go subscribe to her, no questions asked. Her mother passed away from breast and brain cancer just this last sunday, the fifth of june. All I can say is that I will most definitely have her and her family in my prayers tonight and for nights to come. I can not imagine what it must be like to lose someone so close to you, and in my eyes she is one of the strongest people I know and I will forever look up to her as a role model . I will try to never leave anybody on a sour note ever again in my life, because you never know when you might lose them. And Kasey, if you're reading this, I want to let you know that I am constantly thinking of you and am here for you if you need me, even though I don't know you.
